After School Snack: Tropical Green Lemonade

Is juicing just for grown ups? No way! At Freshmade they know that’s not the case. The majority of the kids who attend their cooking classes love fresh made juice. They decided to make a refreshing green juice for their afterschool snack of the week. And yes, the kids loved it. Why not give your kids a juicy treat when they get home from school today? You might be surprised at how much they like it.

In the Reboot Kitchen: Apple Mojito

This is a virgin mocktail without the added sugar and alcohol and it’s a lovely holiday drink to enjoy for Easter! Apples are beautiful and fresh for many months of the year and in my market right now the green ones are looking divine. The mint in this drink is also an excellent digestive and carminative.

In the Reboot Kitchen: Blush Juice

I wanted to make a pretty pink juice to celebrate this special week for Valentine’s Day! I was admiring pink vegetables and fruits this week so I thought a nice blush juice would be a great juice to make. This juice contains high amounts of lycopene, carotenes such as lutein and zeaxanthin, anthocyanins, potassium, and pectins which are shown to have many health promoting benefits in the form of soluble fiber such as a decrease in heart disease and LDL “bad” cholesterol.

Sunset Blend Juice

Ingredients   1 large Sweet Potato 1 medium Carrot 1 Red Bell Pepper 2 large Red Beets (Australia beetroot) 2 Golden Delicious Apples 1 Orange, optional   Directions Wash all produce well Juice Pour over ice Enjoy!  

Sweet Summer Juice

Ingredients 2 broccoli stalks 2 organic white peaches 1 organic fuji apple   Directions Wash everything well. Remove pit from peaches. Juice, pour over ice and enjoy!
