Want oats for breakfast without having to warm them up? This oatmeal-style smoothie fits the bill. It includes all the ingredients you might use to make oats, swapping your stovetop for a blender. Oats are a great source of fiber and maple syrup has energy-boosting properties such as B vitamins.
I love oatmeal. I love how much it fills me up, keeps me energized, and tastes good with just about any topping I can think of — berries, banana, almond butter, nuts, granola, etc. However, when the temperatures start getting warmer, my hair starts frizzing more, and one step on into the NYC subway platform has me sweating, I can’t say I’m craving something hot for breakfast. That’s why smoothies become my go to, especially this one when I want my oats, but don’t want to be cooking over a warm stove! Enjoy this fiber filled smoothie.
When it’s National Donut Day, there’s only one thing I can think of doing…make raw donuts, of course! I was deciding between two flavors: chocolate with vanilla cream or a vanilla with strawberry cream. I decided to ask my boss what she thought and she had the brilliant idea for me to do chocolate with strawberry cream. Enjoy this recipe.
Smoothie bowls (also sometimes called Acai bowls) are becoming increasingly more popular, so I decided to give it a try, and was quite pleasantly surprised! These smoothie bowls seems to be less filling than a traditional smoothie and can be a great way to pack a lot of nutrients into a small serving. What’s also great about these smoothie
bowls is the variety they allow, because you can add virtually anything to them. Find out what I added to mine!
Since I started my Reboot journey, Dr. Fuhrman (who monitored my 60-Day Reboot in Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead) has become a good friend of mine. He recently wrote the foreword in my new book and has been a fantastic resource helping me and millions of others stay healthy after their Reboot. His Eat to Live series is excellent for doing just that. I had a chance to look through his new Eat to Live Cookbook and it is full of plant-based, nutrient-dense recipes that make it easy and enjoyable to continue to eat healthy. It’s a great inspiration and reminder to all of us that you don’t have to sacrifice flavor to live a healthy lifestyle and enjoy a diet rich in plant-powered nutrients.

It was Anzac day today in Australia and New Zealand which is a National holiday (yippee to that!) of remembrance that commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in war. Hundreds of thousands get up and watch the dawn service where marches and horns are played in the early morning silence. Many foods are enjoyed and the classic is the good old Anzac biscuit. I wanted to cook a healthier version so here they are!
