Seasonal: ‘Farm to Juicer’ Sweet P. Juice

This week, the Reboot team is doing a 7 Day Reboot and one of the best parts about it for me is that it encourages me to try more juice combinations that I haven’t had before. I can be a creature of habit, so I primarily stick to green juices in situations that call for juice. However, when juicing all day, the tried and true ‘mean green’ can get a little… well, tired.
On Day 1, after a full day of greener ‘pastures’, I got home and simply wanted something different. Enter Sweet Potato and Pear! Inspired by the Peach Pie Juice recipe on the Reboot site, but unable to find peaches in season, I opted for another favorite, and more timely, fruit – the Pear.
I added a splash of homemade almond milk (see Recipe here) and a few dashes of cinnamon and the end result was absolutely delicious. Sweet, creamy and completely different from the green juice I’d been drinking all day. Also, it helped me achieve my goal of drinking the rainbow!
Ingredients:
1 large sweet potato, peeled
1 bartlett pear
Small splash of Fresh Almond Milk
3 dashes of cinnamon
Directions:
Pass sweet potato and pear through the juicer. Add splash of Fresh Almond Milk and a few dashes of Cinnamon.
Enjoy!

I will have to try this…it looks and sounds amazing!
It’s sounds great! I’m going to try it.
It’s great! Just had a glass, can’t wait to have it again!
Delicious! I forgot the pear and used and apple and topped with nutmeg not cinnamon. Best tasting sweet potato I’ve ever had, thanks!
I keep seeing recipes with sweet potatoes, but my breville won’t get juice from a sweet pot. Is there a special trick for getting the juice out?
I have been looking for ways to juice my yams/sweet potatos; I will try this soon! = )
This is one of the best juices I’ve tried so far, really delish.
Made this last night, but without almond milk. It was delicious!
I just made this and it is so delicious- not as good as the peach pie recipe which is my all time favorite– but for winter and we can’t get fresh peaches– delicious!
can we actually have almond milk during the juice fast?
Tried this tonight, and it was fantastic. I even made the almond milk from scratch. This very much hit the spot three days into my reboot.
And Ariana, I wondered the same thing. I looked at the almond milk recipe and it says almond milk should be used very sparingly during the reboot. I used about two tablespoons – I think that keeps me in the clear.
This is seriously delicious, so easy to make, and such a nice change of pace from all the green I drink! Sweet Potatoes are hard to juice without a really powerful machine, so you might try baking them first to soften.
I was so intrigued by this recipe I had to try it. I did mix things up a bit by adding a Valencia Orange and a small ginger knob to the recipe. What I got was a 50/50 Bar Orangesicle. Amazing color and and even more amazing flavor. This one is at the top of my favorite list. Thanks!
Thanks for the recipe variation idea Annie, I tried it and it’s really nice.

Do you have to peel the potato? I didn’t and it tastes just fine..
I just made this juice and it’s absolutely delish. I was a bit skeptical juicing the sweet potato but it really is awesome. The only problem is I want more.
This juice is wonderful and satisfies the need for something that tastes rich. It reminds me of Thai Iced Tea, but is much, much better for the bod!
This was wonderful and satisfying. I also make my own almond milk from overnight soaked almonds, and this recipe is fantastic! I’m going to need to buy a lot of sweet potatoes!
This is definitely my favorite juice so far!
I just made and drank this juice…It is totally amazing and I want more…
I just tried this for the first time. Amazing juice, it’s definitely going into my regular rotation! Need to stock up on sweet potatoes
Just tried this, prefer it without the cinnamon, but a very nice juice.
LOVE IT! First day of juicing, I love and eat most green veggies raw already but do not like sweet potatoes or pears so I figured this was a good one to try to find out if I’m going to be able to last. All I used was 1 organic sweet potato and pear because I am out of cinnamon and all the store bought almond milk was full of added salt and sugar(thanks for the recipe for almond milk by the way), I am sure now that I will have no problem with this reboot.
I made this tonight but swapped the almond milk out for unsweetened coconut milk. It was so incredibly delicious. I can’t wait to make it again!
