Supercharged Green Goddess Smoothie

This smoothie is all about super nutrient-rich greens with two superfood additions: hemp seeds and spirulina (a powder made of sea vegetables). This smoothie is chock full of electrolytes, high in protein, healthy fats and antioxidants. Hemp hearts are high in protein (1 oz/25 g = 8 g protein) and healthy omega-3 fatty acids, and can support healthy skin. I used yellow kiwi in this smoothie (easy to find here in Australia), but regular green kiwi is fine as well. If it’s organic, there’s no need to peel the kiwi.

Ingredients

  • 1 kiwi
  • ¼ avocado
  • 1 Swiss chard (silverbeet) leaf
  • 1 small or 1/2 large banana (freeze first for a colder smoothie)
  • 2 tbls hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 large handful of ice

Directions

Add all ingredients to blender and process until smooth.

Coconut water – almond milk, coconut milk, hazelnut milk, rice milk, hemp milk
