Introducing Claire, Reboot Naturopath – Austrailia (Plus a Recipe!)

Hello Reboot!

I was given the movie “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” a few months ago by a work colleague. This snappy movie title grabbed my attention and I watched it the very next day. Straight away I was laughing and enjoying the comic side of this movie, as I frequently see people that are taking medications then eating foods that further aggravate their health conditions. My job as a Naturopath is to educate people about healthful eating and how they can best help themselves as much as possible without taking medications to resolve something that could possibly be helped with good nutrition and a healthy, active lifestyle. Being overweight contributes to a mountain of disease in the long-term, so it was such a pleasure to see someone take their health in their own hands and make a movie about it and inspire so many people. Both Joe and Phil have inspired so many people, who then inspire so many other people to make such huge changes for their health. So when I received the call to join the Reboot Team with Joe, I jumped at the chance. It’s something I love to do, inspire the increased intake of the wonderful colourful world of fruit and vegetables with all their healing powers. I have juiced for many years in combination with diet. I have suggested short juice fasts and cleanses many times over the years. Currently I’m on day 2 of Juice Only Reboot. I have wanted to do this since I had my first baby and this was that extra little nudge to get stuck into it again.

So I’m HAPPY to say that I’m now officially part of the Reboot Team, I’m super happy about this and I am looking forward to your questions and posting recipes and most importantly taste testing them all first ☺
Let’s Get Started! Here is my first addition to the ongoing Recipe Of The Week series:

If you liked Stacy’s Recipe post from last week, try this variation which adds more Vegetables into the mix!

Watermelon is a valuable source of lycopene, one of the carotenoids. Research indicates that lycopene is helpful in reducing the risk of prostate, breast, and endometrial cancers, as well as lung and colon cancer. Watermelon is also rich in potassium and Vitamin A.

Bon appetit!
