Bright green juices are healthy, light, refreshing and tasty! I love to add fresh herbs to my juices for more flavor and nutrients, and sage is no exception. Sage is a good source of vitamin K which is important for bones and blood clotting and also contains calcium, potassium and beta-carotene. Sage also provides important phytonutrients like flavanoids shown to help reduce the risk of certain cancers, and other antioxidants like rosmarinic acid which can help reduce inflammation. Certain compounds in sage thought to benefit the brain are also being studied in research.
