Raw, Dairy-Free, Vegan Eggnog

Eggnog is a holiday tradition in many homes, but it’s usually loaded with heavy cream, alcohol and sugar. Here’s a homemade, healthier version that not only has nutritional benefits but also tastes like actual eggnog. This raw, dairy-free, vegan nog is thick, creamy, satisfying and tastes almost exactly like the real deal.


  • 2 cups (500 ml) cashew milk
  • 1 cup (250 ml) coconut milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 dates, pitted (can add more if you prefer a sweeter taste)
  • 1 tsp Himalayan sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • cinnamon, to sprinkle on top
  • cinnamon stick, for garnish
  • ice, as needed
  • 4 oz. dark rum (optional)



  1. Add all ingredients, except cinnamon stick, into a high powered blender and blend on high for 60 seconds until a rich, creamy milk is formed.
  2. Pour into a glass, sprinkle with cinnamon and garnish with cinnamon stick.
  3. Enjoy!
