Nope, not peas and carrots, pears and carrots! This juice is delicious and has a wonderful tangy and licorice-like taste from the fennel bulb. I made this recipe up on the spot with the surplus of veggies and fruits I had in my kitchen. The important consideration for making your own juices when not following a recipe is to make sure that you follow roughly an 80% vegetable, 20% fruit ratio to ensure you don’t end up adding too much fruit and sugar. - 5 medium carrots
- 1 pear
- 1 medium bulb of fennel
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 in (2.5 cm) piece of ginger
- Wash all produce well.
- Core the pear and peel the lemon.
- Add all ingredients to your juicer and enjoy!
