This is a really lovely combination! Basil (ocimum basilicum) has been studied for its anti-aging benefits, and it may be effective at reducing the effects of free radicals, as well as protecting heart, liver and brain cells. Basil is also high in antioxidants and anti-bacterial agents, so it’s a very protective herb. Can’t find fresh basil? Substitute fresh parsley, mint or spinach instead.
