Celebration Grape Vino Juice

Remember the Warrior Princess Juice I made from the large red cabbage I bought at the market? Well I had plenty of left over cabbage and since today is my birthday, I was looking for a recipe that not only used up the cabbage but was a little festive too.  I decided to take some cues from another festive beverage and go with grapes.  I added a little fennel and apple, and the result is a lovely lilac juice that goes great with the No-Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie birthday present from the Reboot Team. (My favorite Smart Sweet!)

The grapes endow this juice with vitamins A, B, C and folate, and many important minerals like potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium and selenium. Not only that, the flavonoids found in grapes have antioxidant properties that can lessen the damage caused by free radicals, making them a great anti-aging fruit. Who wouldn’t like some of that on their birthday?
