A Sparkling New Year’s Juice

On New Year’s Eve, juice up a batch of phytonutrient-rich nutrients to make a healthy cocktail base to mix with alcohol or simply enjoy drinking as is. This vibrant juice not only tastes great, but it can nourish you all night long to help prevent waking up a depleted mess on New Year’s Day!

Cranberries and pomegranate seeds are loaded with antioxidants like vitamins C & E plus anthocyanin, quercitin and ellagic acid. Both red beauties are seasonal winter gems and boast B-vitamins, thought to help reduce hangover symptoms; probably because drinking alcohol can deplete us of these water-soluble nutrients. Potassium is another important electrolyte found naturally in this juice to stay hydrated and feeling well amidst the festivities.

You can even make some extra Sparkling New Year’s Juice sans alcohol in your fridge for an eye opener on New Year’s Day.  Then go out for a walk and create a nutrient-packed oatmeal or quinoa breakfast for a sure-fire way to help leave your late night shenanigans behind.
