A Naturally Sweet Coconut & Date Smoothie

Dates are an easy way to sweeten your life. In this smoothie recipe, these vitamin B-rich bites combine with coconut milk, almond butter, vanilla and cinnamon for a delicious and frothy treat. If you have any trouble digesting dates, you can soak them for a few minutes in water before adding to the blender. The pinch of sea salt actually helps you taste the sweetness a little more.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups coconut milk (or your favorite non-dairy milk)
  • 4 whole dried dates, de-pitted and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp almond butter
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients.
  2. Add ingredients to blender and blend on high for 45-60 seconds until smooth.
