Why I Rebooted: To overcome cravings and balance my blood sugar
I have tried all kinds of diets. Nothing ever helped me gain control of my emotional eating, overeating, and in general just plain eating.
I learned about Joe’s Guided Reboot programs from a couple in the produce section of my grocery store. They recommended the movie, “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” to me, and I watched it within 24 hours.
I tested the waters and did my first 15-Day Reboot. And while I felt much better, it still wasn’t quite enough for me to succeed. I knew I needed something longer. I needed a real challenge.
I finally took the plunge to eat better with pre-diabetes
A year later, I signed up for the 60 day Guided Reboot for Diabetes (I am pre-diabetic and hypoglycemic with other health conditions). I thought that this would be great for me. I will learn how to eat properly.

I had many challenges along the way, and at times, I wasn’t sure if I could do it. But with perseverance, and guidance from my amazing coach, it was a success!
The toughest part for me going through this Guided Reboot was saying “NO” to the cravings. In the beginning, I had a difficult time. But my couch didn’t let me give up. She had a way with words that helped me get through the “hiccups” on this journey and never ever let me give up!
I have kept my powerful mindful eating habits
The habits that I have learned and kept are now a part of my everyday life: Mindful eating, planning and preparation.
Some of the questions I ask myself before I put something in my mouth are:
- What is the nutritional value of this food?
- Is this food going to be a benefit to me?
- Why do I want to eat it?
This experience was freeing. The end of the 60 days is just the beginning!
What I wish someone told me so I’d start sooner

The Reboot is challenging, you really need to dig deep… and it is very important to have an understanding coach with a wealth of knowledge ready to share and guide you.
The advice I got in my Guided Reboot helped put me right back on track. I learned to never give up or be so hard on myself. I truly loved the approach.
