There are many Reboot-friendly foods beyond the typical fruits and veggies that you might think of. Best of all, it is this category of “Herbs, Spices and More!” which will help add even more flavor, spice and texture to your usual Reboot dishes.
Go on, get creative – Leave no spice unturned, no culinary herb unused!
Here are some Simple Eating Guidelines to consider when planning your meals during and after your Reboot.

Thanks for the info and tips Claire. I’m on a day 12 of a 60 day reboot, and I have lost 22lb. I’m feeling great. My question is for the individuals that have been on the juice fast for a while or if you have completed one. Have you ever got tired of the Mean Green Juice and not made this one for a while? Or did you drink the Mean Green every day.
i make a carrot, cucumber, ginger and apple. Also, watermelon, pear, ginger and apple.
I drink mean green everyday that I juice. If I am NOT on a strict feast plan (eating fruits/veggies) I just at least 5 or 6 days a week for one or two meals. I have a mean green AND some other kind of juice. I drink a lot of carrots, sweet potato, red/yellow/orange bell peppers, pineapple, sweet apples, watermelon, oranges, beets and such. It is my personal opinion that mean green is an “acquired” taste. Some times, even now (11 months later) I am “off” in the juicing of the mean green and it tastes different. Like maybe I used dinosaur kale (long thin dark green) instead of curly kale.. or perhaps the cucumber was not as large and fat as it might have been.. or I slice off a smidge too much ginger.. it all affects the taste, but I just drink it. I really, really like mean green with about 1/3 of a pineapple juiced up in it. It makes it really nice to drink. You could try switching up the green veggies you put into the green drink, but I believe the leafy green veggies have the most “good stuff” for our bodies. Keep with you.. you’ll be amazed at how wonderful you feel!! Good luck
I,ve lost ten so far.
i also got tired of it after a while so i started experimenting with carrots, cucumber, kale, grapes, pineapple, green grapes, celery and pears. so far i’ve grown a liking to a recipe a friend of mine gave me that involves red beets. Did not think it was going to be a good addition to juicing but boy was i wrong, it tastes great!
upon completion i lost 47 lbs
Yes I LOVE my beets! I juice orance, pear, green apple, beet, carrot and pineapple every morning! lately I’ve had to add rhubarb for tartness since summer fruits are sweeter than usual. I’ve lost 20 lbs since mid March
Thanks for the awesome info on spices! I feel like such an idiot…searched, wondered, etc. about whether using spices in a creative way would be “acceptable”…and here it all is..! I’m still a bit curious as to whether a very minute amount of beef stock…or “boullion” would be nice…or…ahem “legal” too!
Your information emphasising fresh natural foods in juice form or soups is spot on. Great for digestive system as well as losing weight.
Will feature your green detox soup as part of my blog on using food as medicine. Thank you.
RavensJuiceGuy are you eating and juicing or just juicing? My niece and I started a one week juice only fast today just to try it. After tasting the Mean Green we’re both skeptical if we’ll be able to drink this everyday. Any words of encouragement you can offer would be great! Congrats on your success because I know it’s not easy.
Hello…I want to juice but tend to drop weight easily. how should I start?
I have a vita mix instead of a juicer. Will this be ok. It just purees everything, but it’s not clear like a juicer.
I grow lemon verbena, can I use that for my tea cravings?
This is freaking awesome. I am going to try everything in my juices.
We have finished our 10 day fast and now continue to juice one meal a day. We have noticed our taste buds have changed, for me I used to enjoy a cup of decaf coffee I no longer can stand the taste which really isn’t so bad. When we first started our fast for the first three days we had a head ache but after that third day WOW! what energy and felt great . We used different recipes through the ten days and continue to switch it up so we don’t get bored with it, there are many recipes on line and on this sight. juice on!!
Today is my last day from a 30 day fast and I’ve lost 27 lbs. I just feel so confused as to what to do after 30 days of not eating anything. Don’t know where to start or how, concern that I might gain the weight. I was thinking of starting off eating raw fruits and vegetable salads without oil or salt. I have no idea of what spices or seasoning will be good in replacement of oil or salt.
How have your past 4 weeks been so far? Did you gain any back? What kinds of foods have you been eating?
Just ordered my juicer, and preparing for a reboot. I do have a couple of questions, if anyone could answer.
I take the Alive liquid whole food multivitamin juice, is that ok to continue taking during a reboot?
I noticed that cold pressed avocado oil was not on the list, is that ok to use as well?
I also do have a very intense workout schedule during the week, so will my protien shakes still be ok to take (I use the GNC Wheybolic extreme 60)?
Instead of Stevia, can we use agave nectar as a sweetener for teas and such?
