Cherry Coco-Choco Smoothie

This smoothie is full of super nutrients and superfoods. Cherries are full of specialized anthocynanin compounds such as peonidin and cyanidin, which can support healthy glucose metabolism, ward off cancer, combat hypertension and fight cardiovascular disease, protect the brain against Alzheimer’s disease and reduce inflammation in joint conditions.  Enjoy!

 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup/110 g cherries, pitted (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 cup/250 ml almond milk
  • 2 Tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 Tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 handful of ice (3 -4 cubes)

 

Directions

  1. Add all the ingredients into the blender.
  2. Blend on high for 45 – 60 seconds until smooth. Enjoy!

Almond milk – coconut milk, Hemp seed milk, cashew milk, coconut water
Coconut – almonds, cashews
