Raspberry Candy Cane Swirl

This smoothie is a fun way to celebrate the season! You can dress it up even more with fresh mint leaves. Almond milk, dates and white chia seeds give this a creamy texture without any dairy or sugar. Enjoy it as a swirl or you could also make a pink-and-cream layered smoothie by simply adding a vanilla layer to your glass then pink then vanilla then pink again. Storing it in the freezer to chill can also help to hold the layers if you plan to serve them at a party.

Ingredients

Vanilla layer

  • ½ cup of almond milk
  • 1 medjool date
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup of ice
  • 1 tbsp. of white chia seeds

Raspberry layer

  • ¼ cup of almond milk
  • 1 medjool date
  • 1 cup of frozen raspberries
  • 1 tbsp. of white chia seeds

Directions

  1. Blend the vanilla layer ingredients and pour into a serving glass, store in the freezer while you make the raspberry layer.
  2. Blend the raspberry layer ingredients and pour into the serving glass over the vanilla layer, then store in the freezer until ready to serve. Make sure you only chill not freeze the smoothie.
  3. You can swirl the 2 layers with a straw and serve immediately.
