Trick-or-Treat Juice

By: Jamie Webber

Recover from the Trick-or-Treating candy overload with this vibrant, refreshing Trick-or-Treat juice. It’s so sweet you may not be able to tell the difference between those orange Starbursts and the juice! Okay, maybe that’s a stretch, but it is definitely sweet enough to satisfy those sugar cravings that might be sneaking up on you more often if you’ve been eating more candy this week. Sweet potatoes are a wonderful replacement to keep your sweet tooth in control. Not to mention the oranges and carrots in this juice help too. The orange bell pepper (capsicum) helps to bring the sweet taste down a little and gives it a little zing!

Beta-carotene is the nutrient that gives these bright beauties their vibrant hue. Not only is this juice pretty to look at, but it adds radiance to your complexion too. Orange fruits and veggies have an abundance of antioxidants, vitamins, fiber and phytonutrients that are good for your skin, eyes and your heart. They also contain high amounts of vitamin A that help protect your body against free radicals. Need more reason to drink this juice? You’ll soak up more vitamin C which helps boost the immune system.

Have a happy and healthy Halloween and don’t forget your orange fruits and vegetables!
