Supercharged Green Goddess Smoothie

Smoothie in glass
By: Claire Georgiou, Reboot Naturopath, B.HSc ND

This smoothie is all about super nutrient-rich greens with two superfood additions: hemp seeds and spirulina (a powder made of sea vegetables). This smoothie is chock full of electrolytes, high in protein, healthy fats and antioxidants. Hemp hearts are high in protein (1 oz/25 g = 8 g protein) and healthy omega-3 fatty acids, and can support healthy skin. Spirulina has a long list of benefits, including support for allergies, immunity and energy. See more on why spirulina is so spectacular.

I used yellow kiwi in this smoothie (easy to find here in Australia), but regular green kiwi is fine as well. If it’s organic, there’s no need to peel the kiwi.
