Meeting Joe Inspired Lyndon to Lose Weight and Live Healthier for His Newborn Son

Name: Lyndon Johnson
Age: 48
Location: Vancouver, Canada
Reboot: 60 days

How did you learn about Reboot with Joe?
I discovered Joe Cross and his incredible transformation through his movie Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead . On January 1, 2012 my wife and I made a choice not to eat meat and bought a Breville juicer, blender and a dehydrator. Life was good within about two weeks. We both felt rejuvenated, the weight started to fall off and we were excited about the future. Then in May we got more good news when we got pregnant, but unfortunately the side effect was we stopped eating well and went back to our old ways.

In April of 2013, I joined Fat Sick and Nearly Dead on Facebook and found out that Joe was going to be in Vancouver so I made plans to go and meet with him. Joe gave me a copy of the movie and the inspiration I needed to take it to the next step.

What inspired you to do a Reboot?
I weighed 240.5 lb/110 kg which may not seem too over the top but I had been 180 lb/82 kg for most of my adult life but 12 years ago when my father passed away I began to put the weight on by just eating what I wanted. It was May 5, 2013, a hot sunny morning and I was sitting on the balcony looking at my 13 week old son. He was born on the February 3, 2013 and I had turned 48 on February 8th. I was calculating how old I would be when he celebrated his 30th birthday, and I needed to stay healthy.

How did the experience go for you?
The experience was great although I did start my Reboot off like Joe and forgot to take juice with me on my first day, but as the days rolled by I found it easier with no hunger pains and by day 10 I knew I could make the full 60 days.

How much weight did you lose (even if that wasn’t your goal!)?
I lost a total of 55 lb/25 kg in 60 days. My starting weight was 245 lb/111 kg and I’m now 190 lb/86 kg.

Did you have any notable health or physical improvements?
My health improvements are incredible and although I was not on any medication I still did my Reboot under the care of my family doctor with regular checkups with blood work. My doctor was surprised by my results. My High Blood Pressure went to 110 over 80 and my blood sugar and High Cholesterol all returned to normal.

What was the toughest part about the Reboot experience?
I think the toughest part of the Reboot was starting. As I began to think on my Reboot plans, I put a mental list together of pros and cons — it was like I was trying to talk myself out of it. I think it was my body, it was so toxic that it did not want to let go.

What habits have you maintained and kept a part of your everyday life?
I’m going to continue to juice and for the next 3 months and eat live green foods.

What is your lasting impression of the Reboot experience?
My Reboot experience was a wonderful life changing one and I’m grateful to Joe and Phil for inspiring my to make a change.
