Smart Sweet: Double Chocolate Smoothie

I love chocolate! Who doesn’t? But eating the right form of chocolate can be very beneficial for our health as opposed to eating highly processed sugar laden candy bars. Real chocolate comes from the cacao bean and is loaded with magnesium, antioxidants, iron and vitamin C. This smoothie will add good nutrition into your regiment while also curbing sweet cravings and keeping your blood sugar in check. I add the cacao nibs on top with coconut shreds to give me something to chew in my shake to further aid better digestion. I add the coconut oil and almond butter for extra fat to help sustain me all morning until lunch along with the maca powder for quality energy.
