Ravishing Radish Juice

This week’s produce bounty from our CSA produced beautiful and delicious, and very large fruits and veggies. One particular vegetable that stood out because of its nice size was the radish! It was beautiful so I knew I had to add it to this week’s juice recipe.  Radishes are vibrantly beautiful in color and their peppery bite works nicely as a flavor beside other tart and sweet fruits and vegetables.  Radishes are a member of the cruciferous vegetable family, like broccoli, cauliflower, kale, and  brussels sprouts, which mean they contain phytonutrients that can help support the liver with its natural detoxification process, support the immune system, and provide cancer fighting properties.  This juice certainly has a strong flavor, which you can tone down by using a smaller radish, larger apple or adding in a pear.
