Yes

How did you learn about Reboot with Joe?
I saw Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead a while back and researched more info online until I found the Reboot with Joe website.

What inspired you to do a Reboot?
For 22 years, I was a ”junk food” vegetarian. I drank alcohol too often, overate and relied on pharmacies and doctors to ”cure” my ailments. By 38 years old, I was overweight, constantly sore and suffering from fatigue on a daily basis. I woke up one day and decided to change my life. I remembered watching Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. Joe’s story was what really inspired me to research body detoxing and juicing further.

How did the experience go for you?
Back in March (2014), I set out to try only a 3 Day Juice-only Reboot but I felt so good, I just kept going for 20 full days. I have since done two 10 Day Juice-only Reboots. During all 3 Reboots I learned so much more about food, digestion and nutrition, that my life was completely transforming around me. I started my own blog called, ”Beeting the Odds”, where I share my story, food and juice recipes and general guidance on curbing bad habits by retraining your mind.

How much weight did you lose (even if that wasn’t your goal!)?
Before I began my first Reboot back in March (2014), I weighed in at 210 pounds/95 kg. As of today, July 31st (2014) I weigh 145 pounds/65 kg. So I have lost 65 pounds/30 kg in about 5 months.

Did you have any notable health or physical improvements?
Oh yes, several. I have so much more energy and stamina. My joints are no longer sore all of the time. I can ride my bike 25 miles and play drums with my band all night without being completely winded afterward. My skin looks clearer, more vibrant. My overall mood has completely changed from being somewhat sluggish to wanting to get out there and do more. And any minor problems I may have had with high cholesterol and high blood pressure have dissipated.

What was the toughest part about the Reboot experience?
Well, to be honest, it was not as tough as I originally thought it’d be. Once I got over the initial first 3 days, it felt like this was what I was meant to do all along. Of course, coming into the last week of my first 20 day Reboot, I was really craving solid food but it was different this time…I wanted healthy foods instead.

What habits have you maintained and kept a part of your everyday life?
I have at least 1 juice and/or smoothie every single day. I went completely vegan after the 20 day Reboot. I’ve adopted the same juicing schedule from my Reboot (about every 2 to 2 1/2 hours) to my everyday eating and minimized my proportions. I exercise more often. My caffeine and alcohol addictions have been curbed to the point where they are a rare treat. Refined sugars and white flour do not exist for me any longer. Basically, I have changed my eating lifestyle completely.

What is your lasting impression of the Reboot experience?
I recommend it to anyone who asks me about my transformation. I can’t say enough good things about Joe’s story, juicing and Rebooting. It has been one of the most pivotal and crucial changes I have ever experienced in my lifetime.
