In the Reboot Kitchen: Orange (& Green) Julius

When we were at Camp Reboot, one of the delicious juices served to the Rebooters was orange bell peppers (capsicum), oranges, carrots and ginger (thanks to Stacy Kennedy for the tasty recipe!). It was definitely one of my favorite juices that week, so I decided to bring that back to the Reboot Kitchen and make it for our team. I decided to add greens to it because why not?! You can’t really taste the added green (aka more nutrients) and the juice was still so pleasantly sweet. I omitted the ginger only because I’m not the biggest ginger fan, but feel free to add it back in.

Orange fruits and vegetables contain flavonoids, lycopene, potassium, vitamin C and beta-carotene helping everything from our bones to our eyes to our skin! And of course spinach adds a ton of nutrients so drink up!

Ingredients

  • 1 orange bell pepper (capsicum)
  • 1 orange, peeled
  • 5 carrots
  • 1 large handful spinach

Directions

  1. Wash all ingredients well.
  2. Peel the orange and remove seeds from the pepper.
  3. Add all produce through the juicer and enjoy!
