In the Reboot Kitchen: Goodness Gracious Smoothie

Goji berries are wonderfully high in antioxidants and are commonly listed as a superfood. Due to these potent phytonutrients goji berries may have anti-aging benefits, boost immune function, protect vision, and may help prevent heart disease. Some research suggests that goji berry extracts may boost brain health, mood and may protect against age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s.

This smoothie is a power-house of potassium, vitamin A, fibre and good essential fatty acids. Drink up!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp goji berries
  • 1 cup (250 ml) coconut water
  • 1 banana
  • ½ avocado
  • ½ cup (150 g) blueberries
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp ground flaxseeds
  • Ice as needed

Directions

  1. Soak the goji berries in coconut water overnight or for a few hours (optional).
  2. Wash blueberries.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a blender.
  4. Blend & enjoy!
