Honey Mustard Kale Chips

Last week was the first ever workday snow that I didn’t have to commute in, and let me tell you…it was soooooooooo nice to be able to stay in, look at the pretty snow, enjoy some warm maple oatmeal, and think about sledding once the sun warmed things up a bit! I pulled Babycakes around the field by our house. She had a blast, and I blasted some calories!!!
Then we came in for some leftover sweet potato fettuccini, and we whipped up some new kale chips.
Introducing: Honey Mustard Kale Chips
Incredibly high in magnesium, calcium, and vitamins A, C, & K, these chips deliver a heavy nutritional punch.
Ingredients:
4 cups kale
1 Tbsp. honey
1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
1.) Preheat oven to 205 degrees.
2.) De-stem the kale, and break into small 2″ chunks.
3.) Toss the kale chunks in the honey and olive oil.
4.) Sprinkle the mustard and garlic powder on top.
5.) Stir until evenly covered.
6.) Lay out flat on a baking sheet.
7.) Bake for 50 minutes, flipping pieces halfway through.

They’re light, sweet, crunchy, and soooooooooo good for you!

I love Kale chips I cn’t wait to try these thank you
I dehydrate my kale, which keeps it RAW and so much better than heating. So delicious.
sounds delicious,do u think this would work in a dehydrator?
The 205 degrees looks like a typo – oven temperature should probably be more like 250F. I would also recommend to check for doneness after 30 minutes (50 mins in my oven and the kale would be burnt powder). Yayyy for kale chips
I set my oven to the lowest setting – I made some about a week ago … and 170 is the lowest my oven goes. They turned out fabulous.
Keeping the oven at such low temps is similar to dehydrating anyway. Either way, I am ready for this recipe. Sounds wonderful.
Made these today. I’m not a chef. They were great! Never had them before so I have nothing to compare it to. I did 205 for 50 minutes just like it says and they were fine. Looking forward to doing them again.
trying this this week!
