Community Recipe: Juice by the 2?s
Community member Jesse C. shared a wonderful breakfast juice that’s full of Vitamin C with a refreshing citrus flavor. If you’re used to starting your morning with a glass of orange or grapefruit juice, then this is a drink for you.
Ingredients:
2 red grapefruits, peeled
2 oranges, peeled
2 red delicious apples
2 celery stalks
2 handfuls of spinach
Directions:
Add all ingredients through juicer and enjoy!

does anyone know if the “mean grean” juice is the only one you can use on the reboot/fast? I just started today with that one, i don’t really like it though. I want to do it right. I can’t figure out if that is one Joe used in the begining or if it matters which juices you do. If anyone could help, I would be greatfull:)

my motivation is quickly dwindling.. smh I am on day 4 of a juicing fast, but today I had a salad.
I want to continue to see how far i can go.. ( i want to reach 60 days) but I dk where all that extra motivation will come from….!!! advice anyone please!
Keep up the good work! The first few days are the hardest. It gets easier as you go. Drink lots of water and tea to help. Make sure your doing your 5 16 oz drinks per day or you will get hungry. I did do some celery to help with me my urge to chew.
Hi Ness, what is your reason for juicing? Mine was to loose excess weight, get healthier and prevent the cancer that my Mom is fighting right now! I’ve lost 3.8 lbs in just 4 days and that is motivation enough for me! My husband adds I feel smaller when he holds me and that I look younger, especailly in my face! All the things I 43 yr old loves to hear from someone who loves her!! If you’re fasting for the wrong reasons it is hard to get motivated and stay motivated. Kind of like when I quit smoking. I tried and failed many many times, but then 20 yrs ago, I found my self pregnant and that was my motivation, I never looked back and my son is healthy because of my choice to put him first! Now I’m teaching my 10 yr old daughter the benefits of eating healthy as we watch my Mom get sick and start to recover, and get sick again! Our diets aren’t the only way to ensure our health, but it should be the first and main choice in the right direction! Meditate on your goals and decide if this is the time in your life to make better choices or not! Here’s to your health! We are walking the journey with you!!!
hi cindy, i too am juicing for weight loss.. but i havent noticed any change.. im on day 5. sometimes ill have a handful of nuts, like, walnuts or pecans, or pistachios, but thats it.. i honestly dont feel different…what am I doing wrong?
hi ness its all mind over matter,for you to motivate yourself you have to have a healthy mind not only do we expect our pounds to fall off over night but we expect it to not be there everyday we look at ourselves.If your feeling down watch the video of Joe again and maybe that may inspire you to carry on thats what i do and always come back on top again.Good luck with your journey because im going through it with you too all the best.
Ness: Watch your ratio of fruit juice to green juice. Too many fruits can add a lot of sugar. Make sure you’re drinking enough juice to maintain energy. Drink water in between. I would highly recommend you abandon the nuts; they are extremely high in fat and will sabotage any weight loss. Don’t forget to add some light exercise like walking for 30-45 minutes. Keep going–you’ll get there!
Keep up the good work. Like everyone says the first few are the hardest but afterward it’s a breeze. I lost 4 lbs on a 10 day and feel really great. Plan on doing this frequently. Good Luck!
I am also doing this juice fast for weight loss and to get healthier, and I keep finding myself with the same problem, so what I do is get on and find success stories of people how made it through this fast and look amazing. I dont know if that will work for you but its worth a shot. If they can do it so can we. : )
ness please stay motivated. You want to make sure you don’t digest, so sometimes it’s good to strain your juice. Sometimes digestion will make you hungrier. Also you may want to get some smooth move tea to help cleanse. Juicing makes you detox very fast, you want to keep it moving. Green juices are super important as they give you alot more nutrients. When your body is infused with nutrients, you won’t be hungry because your body is getting what it needs. Also you may not be drinking enough juice. When you start a juice fast, you must drink plenty of juice especially when you feel hungry. Generally, day 4 is when it gets easier.
Excellent will make this as soon as the kids get away for school. Need to stock my fridge up again but i do have these ingredients in my fridge.i look forward to my juice now
I was inspired by Joe’s movie to really change my eating habits, which have. But I chose to go with a bleeding rather than juicing. I couldn’t see tossing all that fiber! I had been a vegetarian for nearly 22 yrs only eating seafood when out with friends but since blending I really went all out and Eat no animal products at all. I thought I was eating pretty good as a vegetarian but I can’t explain how much better I feel eating only organic vegan foods. More energy, better moods, no more sugar cravings! and lost a lot of inches. I was always pretty active but feel like I have so much more energy now that i blend 3-4x a day. This recipe looks good and I will try it in my Vita mix.
This morning I made a glass of hot tea, with cinnamon and honey. As I was sipping it it realized I added way too much cinnamon, but my breakfast juice was sweet potatoe and pear which some add cinnamon too, so I just mixed the two and it was great!!! Warm too, like fresh pumpkin (err sweet potato) pie!

Hi, could anyone advice where to find more juice recipies, please? I would like to start juicing to loose weight and be healthy, but no ideas for juices…Help …please….
Look at the “Plan” section; each of the PDF files has lots of recipes. Check the recipe section as well. This site has many recipes to get you started. Then experiment a little by substituting. Joe has posted a great substitution list. Before long you’ll have your creative juices flowing with ideas. Excuse the pun!
Love love this juice it is my fav so far, and I’m so happy b/c been having a hard time w/ the green ones. A great start to day 6 will make more often.

sorry! Did not like this one. Maybe it’s just me but the grapefruit is just to strong of a taste in juice. This had an earthy taste at first, then hits you with the grapefruit… yuck.
Orange Julius-like Juice: 2 oranges, 2 apples, 1/2 lemon, 2 handful kale, 2 handful spinach, 1/2 cucumber, 2″ ginger root. FANTASTIC.
I LOVE this juice and have not gotten tired of it. On day 13 now and this is my “go-to” juice when I want one that I absolutely love.
Is it ok to juice in the morning for the whole day? I know the juice starts losing nutrients pretty fast…can I put it in jars in the fridge?
