Hi Wally, I juice cauliflower with carrot, nice. Spinach is something probably added by the handful or two to other juices.
My fave veggie is ummmmmm, gee thats hard, I think I love them all except celery, so why do I love my green juice so much these days? Weird huh.

If I have to pick just one, then for today, it would have to be… carrots, I guess. I like them all!

Do they mean granny smith apples when the recipe calls for green apples in the juice? I have been using golden apples or gala apples and they are not a strong enough flavor to cover up the kale.

Beets, glorious beets. Who could not love the rich red velvet delicate flavor?
Anyway, I am blending my way into better health and well being. The root vegetables don’t blend well, but steaming is fabulous. I can not thank you enough for this site, and all the encouragement. Juice on!If it is to be it is up to me.You must be logged in to reply to this topic. -

For eating I absolutely adore roasted asparagus. I’m also a huge fan of onions. I triple or quadruple the amount of onions in almost every recipe. I’m not really a fan of whole greens except for spinach or baby field greens in a salad.
For Juicing I love collard greens. Similar to kale but MUCH easier to feed into my Omega 8006. I just fold each leaf in half and wrap the leafy part around the stem. Of course I also like to add sweet potato or carrot for sweetness. Also I LOVE LOVE LOVE avocado. Good thing they’re so expensive so I don’t over indulge but I use it instead of mayo and I love it so much more!
08/30/12- completed 30 day juice only reboot. 11/12/12- starting second reboot. Health: hypothyroid, lipoedema Juicer: Omega 8006 and it ROCKS!You must be logged in to reply to this topic. -

I accidentally bought mustard greens instead of Kale. Wondering if they taste like greens or like mustard..lol. Any suggestions on what to juice them with for best flavor?

@lorimiebach No food taste like it’s name. lol But I think they will have a stronger taste as they are a big green. but here is a recipe for at least one mustard green try.
6 carrots 1 largee handful of collad greens or kale or mustard greens or parsley.you see, you have options if one green doesn’t work, you can substitute. See how it tastes but don’t discount it if it doesn’t work in that particular recipe.
I would also suggest, not to just juice mustard with just greens. make sure you put some fruit in there cause it will too potent on your system and you and the bowl become very close friends.
