Jeanne: Just try it ONE DAY AT A TIME! You can do it.. I bet LOGIC would trade having YOUR TWO KIDS.. and you get HIS WEIGHT. We ALL have something that makes it less convenient. No doubt, it WILL be hard to start.. but you have to makeup your mind. If the headaches get too bad, take an Excedrin!
Also, do you have either set of grandparents who would “take the kids for the weekend” so you COULD crawl in bed if you needed to? I admit, during my first reboot last year, I felt like crap.. and my kids are all grown.. but I did NOT feel as bad as Joe cross or phil staples.. I didn’t have to go to bed. So think POSITIVE.. you NEED it and you can do it. We’re all rooting for you! DeniseYou must be logged in to reply to this topic. -

Jeanne: PS– I’m VERY lazy.. I juice ONCE a day what I will need for the whole day.. (64oz for me) and I make at least 2 different ones. That way I only have to clean the juicer once and there are “no excuses” on why I had to “eat” because I didn’t have time to juice. Hang in there. Denise

I think that I could handle juicing once a day! Thanks Denise.

Janine: I like Zero’s positive attitude about your juicing.. but can I suggest that you EAT fruits/veggies/nuts and BEANS while you are camping? It’s in line with Joe’s (Dr. Furhman’s) program and that way you won’t really be OFF the juice feast. As you’re aware, some of the PLANS here promote eating and juicing. Since there are no electrical outlets in the woods.. you can get your fruits/veggies and cans of beans ready. Even if you need to purchase another cooler just for YOUR foods! Then when you return… back to juicing! This way you don’t have to go through the headaches and low energy all over again!! I wouldn’t use it as a “last cheat meal”.. you’ve MADE the commitment mentally and eating only the things listed here would help you to stay with your commitment.. an important “mental” thing for success I believe. That’s my two cents. Good luck.. we’ll support you either way you decide to go! Denise

@ Denise -Thanks, I might try that. It’s only for 4 days & it’s not for a few weeks yet. I have an adapter so I can use my car for power if I am real ambitious. It’ll be a pain to clean up though. I guess the worse will be smelling the bacon & eggs from other camp sites. the rest of camping food I can pass on easy. I will definitely bring nuts in case. I haven’t really tried beans, I guess now is a good time as any. Thanks Denise, I’ll let you know before
I go.You must be logged in to reply to this topic. -

If I was going camping, I would take lots of vegetables to grill, asparagus, zucchini brussel sprouts and salad fixings and stay away from hot dogs and s’mores and chips and soda. Good Luck.

While I’m waiting for my juicer to be delivered…I had my lemon water this morning, banana and grapefruit for breakfast and salads for lunch and dinner. I was hungry but stuck with it today. I suffer from colitis and it is hard for me to have a normal life. I have to constantly worry about proximity to a bathroom. If I eat whatever I want, I pay the consequences…If this works for me, I will look forward to less pain in my gut, and more energy to devote to my family. I think talking to all of you will help!

hey folks, i’ve just recently watched the movie and am sold on doing a 10 day juice fast, but have some questions… all of the “plans” seem to have food and juice and I was hoping for a just-juice plan. Like how many times per day you can drink the juices and how many ounces per time, etc… i already drink a ton of water per day, so got that covered… i don’t want to do this just for the weight loss, but also for the health benefits and hopefully to get off some of the not so healthy foods that i seem to be addicted to…. thanks for any tips!

Ok this site is confusing for me. Where do I find a plan for the 60 day juice fast. Where is the recipe section? I saw mean green on the show and can’t find that either. The plans in this have eating and different stuff. I would rather break from foods for a period first.

Wow! So happy to see so many people involved! I’m working towards actually doing a fast. At this point, by dinner time, I’m still needing food, but keeping it healthy. My goal is to do the 10-day in the first half of July and see how much further I can get. I know I’ll get there, I’m with you guys!

I saw the movie yesterday and it was the answer to what i have been searching for. I am 47 years old and having and i am always feeling tired. I am going to start this tomorrow for i need to get the products. I am doing it for my health and to drop a few pounds around the waist. It is great to see there are a lot of us with the same issues out there and this will be a great motivator to see how we are all doing.

My birthday is coming up and my husband bought me a breville! I’m waiting for it to be delivered. In the meantime I am trying to get some good plant based food into my diet before the juice fast. I think 5 days is a good first goal for me. @myub40-how many days are you looking to fast? @zerofate the energy is what I am after! I can’t wait!

@fabuluxe I think that you can have as much juice as you want. I read Dr. Fuhrman’s Eat to Live book (he had a cameo in Joe’s movie) and he said that according to his plant based diet routine, fruits and veggie were unlimited as well as, beans and legumes. Seeds, nuts and good fats (like avacado) were to be eaten in moderation. So if you find yourself hungry, drink more! I don’t think you can go wrong.

Jaine: I’m so proud of you! Thanks for “thinking” about sticking with it, even if it’s a modified plan while you camp. You’re right.. smelling the bacon WILL be hard, but at some point we just have to bite the bullet and say “no”. It’s tough, believe me I know, but you will be SO HAPPY! Everytime I leave an eatery and have made a wise choice, I feel so successful! I am in a “tug of war” inside my head the whole time.. but it is becoming easier and easier to make good choices and not feel “cheated”. Today I went with my friend to a local FUDRUCKERS, it’s a hamberger joint. Since I’m juicing, I took my jug o’ juice in with me. I felt so SAD looking all around me at the people I just wanted to jump up and say “WHY DON’T YOU STOP KILLING YOURSELF AND START JUICING.” But then I came to my senses! hehe But now, all wisecracks aside, I really DO feel sorry Americans are in such bad shape. I can ONLY change myself and I come here to “recharge” myself on a daily basis! I’m hoping you have the courage to make the best choices and STILL HAVE FUN as you head into your camping trip. We have to stop rewarding ourselves with sugary, fat laden treats.. because it’s NOT a reward.. it’s a punishment! I know, I know.. but it’s so goooooood going down! But now I digress! Good luck gal! Denise

@Denise: Thanks for the encouragement, you are inspiring. I’m starting day 3 & down 6lbs. If it wasn’t for this forum I don’t think I would have resisted temptation. Well here goes day.
