Hello everyone! I am a reboot newbie and am currently on day 15 of my 60-day reboot. I read something about using coconut water when you get constipated during the fast and so far never had the need to use it. Other than to help during constipated should I be including coconut water during my juice fast? If so, what other benefits am I going to get from coconut water? Also, the only coconut water I know of comes in can. Where do you guys buy your coconut water from?

I’m not sure about the benefits of coconut water for constipation, but I have read on here [including from the nutritionist] using it after exercise [as an electrolyte replacement]. I found it in my local whole food co-op and one of my large grocery stores. I have also seen it sold in bulk at Costco.

P.S. I juiced a bunch of green grapes twice during my thirty day fast and found it terribly effective for constipation.

I use coconut water before I jog b/c I was becoming too fatigued during my run & my heart rate was off the charts! It is a natural electolyte beverage. It works wonders if you are too ill to keep food down. It has many benefits from what I have read. Huge amounts of potassium (more than bananas), minerals, and antioxidants.
I found ours at HEB (Texas grocery chain). Nutrition stores might carry it too. We also tried Target but ours does not carry it. There are several brands out there. My husband likes Goya-sugar added but I don’t. Too sweet. I prefer C2O or Amy & Brian’s. Ours can be found either in the ethnic aisle or the nutrition/health section of our grocery store. You might be able to have your local grocery store order for you if they currently don’t carry it.
I’m also not sure about helping for constipation. Many people do the enemas to help with that. You need to make sure to drink a lot of water. I think warm water is suggested and at least 10 glasses a day. You might consider eating a few prunes too.

We have 2 sections in the store we can go to get it. The Goya brand is in the hispanic foods section. The others that I like are found in a refrigerated section behind the fresh flowers which is also the health/nutrition section. They also have cans not cooled on an end cap in the health/nutrition section. The same section you can buy any cleaning/cosmetic organic, get flax seed, or bag your own nuts, candy, etc…

Yes, I saw the Naked brand too in the fruits & veggie section but it’s almost $4.00 a bottle at HEB. Is it expensive at Walmart? You also have to keep it refrigerated & it last approx. 10 days. I prefer the cans b/c I like mine room temperature (weird I know!) and they can last up to 2 years not that I would need to store them that long. The Naked is probably a little more nutritious too since they probably don’t pasteurize it. The water I buy is flash pasteurized and looses some of it’s nutrition b/c of that.
