that’s awesome! I may very well go up to 60 days if I have somebody to do it with me! we have 140 days until the new year(from Monday) and it’d be great if we could get this done before the new year!
you sound like you’ve done this before, am I right? i’d love to hear some recipes and if you consume anything other that green juice. let me know! looking forward to your reply!

Hello!! I am planning on starting a fast tomorrow, too! I am overwhelmed by the thought of 30 days–but I really, really want to do it and solve my issues once and for all. I have done a 5 day juice fast in the past–so maybe if I have support and do it with others, I will be successful. I have been juicing daily for a very long time but I am intimidated by the thought of only juice for so long. I’m here looking for courage and support!

hello VioLynn! the diet I plan on doing myself is the green juices, cubed or mashed avocados with lime, salt and pepper, and I also have a huge bag of frozen strawberries in my freezer. I grab a hand full, put it in a cup, add a spoonful or two of plain lowfat yogurt, blend it with those hand held blenders, add literally a couple drops of honey, don’t blend, eat as is with a spoon. very low calorie and delicious! I find eating avocado to be crucial for the healthy fats. I know the juices don’t need help absorbing the nutrients, but I feel adding some healthy avocado fat will be very good for my health and I won’t look or feel deprived of food.
let me know what you think!

It’s good to see more new juicers! My husband and I started in July. However, I consider myself to have re-started this past week. I spent 12 days of July visiting my daughter and did not stick to my maximum of one meal a day all the time. So, I feel like I’ve re-started. However, at the same time, I know I did juice the majority of meals over the month. I’d say it was 65% juicing. So … long story short … Yes, You Can Do This! I have decided to have that one meal (raw veggies only) less frequently for the rest of August/September/October perhaps once every 2 or 3 days. Our daughter is getting married in December and the bridal shower is at the end of October so … I have definite weight loss goals in addition to the health goals!
I lost 10 pounds in July – which I am proud of even though like I said, I didn’t juice as much as I could have/should have. Between now and the shower I’m looking forward to losing 50 pounds which is possible as long as I juice more! I have 75 days in which to lose those 50.
I believe we all encourage and support each other here at Join the Reboot. This is the best thing I’ve ever done for weight loss. I believe you will all agree with me – as long as you stick with it past your first 10 days! Good luck everybody! Juice On!

whenever I start eating avocados daily my skin gets this beautiful yellow glow. so in addition to the green juices, I can only imagine how healthy I will look! plus, the strawberry yogurt smoothie is just a frozen “ice cream type” treat to keep you happy

I’m in! My son and I are doing the 15 day to start – plan to keep going for 3- – 60 days! We’ll be using the week 1 classic menu and then it’s fully juiced! My son, Josh, just bought his juicer and I’ve dug out the Juiceman to get started. We plan to start slow with the exercise, walking every day after “dinner”. Good luck to everyone!

Deb Small and lindadanette – you’ll both find lots of support here on the forums!
I have an Omega Vert 350 which works quite nicely. I don’t have experience with any other juicers.
Best recommendation – is to spend as much time as you can here – visit the Ask the Expert pages – and if you have questions … ask!
Good luck!

I’m in. I actually started on the 11th so I could get the first couple days behind me over the weekend but they haven’t been too bad. Still learning the best ways to go about things.

I just started a 30-60 day juice-only fast. I’m on day 4 and I feel great. Luckily, I didn’t have to kick a caffeine addiction. I will tell you in relation to the exercising, take it slow. I have been a gym rat for years; for the past year I’ve averaged cardio 4-6 times a week and lifting 2-3 times a week. If you push the gym too hard your body will crash. The other day I got really light-headed, dizzy, and nauseous because I pushed too hard. With the elimination of carbs, sugars, etc. your body doesn’t have the quick-release fuel supply. Fat burns low and slow so you can’t count on that at the gym. Just a fair warning / lesson learned I’d pass on.

OK! I am in to start August 13, 2012. I like the avocado and the yogurt and strawberries ideas, gopidevi, so I will do that, too. I just need some different juice recipes to keep it interesting. This is the first time for me. We have a garden with lots of zucchini – is there any nutrition in that?

@gopidivi- This is my first time.. I have done the Master Cleanse for 10 days before though. I assume like that the first 3 days will be the hardest! I eat a vegetarian diet my main vices are sugar and Margaritas…suppose I might have to make a mock margarita
I just printed out the 3 day meal plan and am headed to the store to stock up on my veggies. I don’t have a juicer but think my vitamix should do the trick.
I don’t work out, I have 2 badly degenerated discs but I will be walking and riding on my exercise bike.. Really hoping I can make it 60 days that will be right before my long awaited Madonna concert and I would love to be able to lose 50 pounds during this time period.
Hope we can all serve as support! WIll be taking my before picture doing my measurements and doing the dredded weigh in!You must be logged in to reply to this topic. -
