I do often have sinus problems which cause a cronic cough. This is the reason I started this juice fast this time. I’ve had sinus infections before, but never anything like this. My teeth and jaw will start having pain likened to a severe tooth ache, then it will go away for a few minutes up to half an hour. Then sometimes it’s my lower teeth instead of my upper. I hate to go to a Dr since none of them in my area would agree with juice fasting and will want to put me on an antibiotic. I’m just wondering if I’m detoxing and it will eventually go away?????

Hmm actually a few days into our 10 day fast my wife’s not removed wisdom teeth started going crazy. Same thing you’re experiencing … ended up she had a sever infection and they pulled her into surgery.
The doctor said the juice fast is what most likely exposed the problem.
Any chance you still have your wisdom teeth?

I meant the doctor was saying because her body was releasing toxins not that fasting is bad.

I had a previous problem with my jaw joint and surgery 6 months ago. Prior to surgery had severe pain in several teeth, headaches and jaw. the surgery sorted it until now! Day 6 and I’m having alot of pain just as descibed above.
I read that often when juicing old injuries or sites of previous disease etc can flare up due to the body healing itself. If the site did not compeletly heal to full health the body can now deal with this. I’m hoping that this is the case and my pain is temorary as it’s difficult to function propery without painkillers.
I’m also experiencing pain in my shoulder and wrist which have had previous fractures so the theory fits.
Hope this might help others. You must be logged in to reply to this topic. -

I had some jaw/side of my face pain for 2-3 days back in my second week of juicing . It went away and I ultimately isolated a rough night of sleeping on that side of my face as the possible culprit. The amazing thing is that since that happened, I no longer had the need to take my medicine for allergies. Pay attention to it just in case it is a true medical condition [and not a detox side-effect].

Hi Yitzchak,
I think, if it were me, I would check this out with my doctor, or at least with my dentist, probably doc. Pain in your jaw can mean lots of things; best to get checked out!
