I know there are lots of groups to join, but here are the parameters for my group:

Seeking people from anywhere, any age, male, female, and couples who are beginning a juice (only) fast starting the first week of July.

30-60 day juice fast plans

People willing to be honest and open about their weight and progress.

-So who am I?
I’m 31, my boyfriend is 33, we live in California and have 3 children. We will begin our juice fast on July 6th and just want some people who are on a similar journey to get support from and give support to.

We were inspired by Joe’s movie and are excited to begin our Reboot!

Ok this sounds funny but if you knew what i did for a living it would make sense. I am thinking of putting a live video stream from Friday the 6th to like sunday around I don’t know when I fall a sleep. It will give me something or some one to keep me busy and not drive the wife crazy when she sleeps. Just a thought. :)

Greetings all, im up early and getting my house ready to begin a 30 day juice only fast. I will begin tomorrow and Im looking forward to getting going. I will use my Wii to track any loss along the way.

This is the second reboot for me. I joined the site back in SEP11 and enjoyed very much loggin in and sharing my trials with what was then a handful of active members. Im looking forward to the same this time too !

The reason I’m doing a second reboot is due to me breaking my tib/fib while in phase one of P90X. I was on a three month project in Boston (im from CA and not used to snow/ice! ) and slipped on a frozen metal grate. I just had the hardware remove from my ankle and im currently in pyiso and looking forward to getting back ontrack!

    WOOHOO !

Welcome Spunndaze. While the Wii Fit is an excellent way to exercise there are many factors that can cause the readings to be incorrect, such as using it on carp or the caps being on crooked. I’d probably compare a scale reading to what the Wii Fit board tells you to make sure there is not a big difference.

I did a trial run with my juicer yesterday. Realized how unprepared I was. I had a juice in the morning using the fruits and vegies on hand. then went to the store to get more and took longer than expected… Needless to say, got home and was starving. Put away groceries and decided to eat a quick bite using the homemade sprouted lentil burger I had left over in the fridge (I was going to freeze it). Definitely realizing it will be good to have some juice ready in fridge (maybe make a larger morning batch) for times like these…

needthis59, thanks for the info. I’m planning on doing a test run with my juicer on Wednesday. I also bought a couple drink containers from Walmart to store juice in the fridge when I know I won’t have time to blend, like $2 each. What fruits and veggies did you use?

I used the “mean green” recipe, the “carrot, ginger, apple” recipe, and the “Sunset Blend Juice” All were good. I am not a sweet person, more of a salt person. So I actually used 1 apple in the mean green today for lunch. and only 2 large kale leaves. Didn’t have room for any more. I also put some of the pulp back through juicer to make more and get more juice for my buck… Any preparation you can do ahead of time will be well worth it. I have some large A&W glass mugs I keep in the fridge. I have used these and it works out great to have them ice cold. I will fully start on the 6th.

My palate is about the only thing having issues at this point. It’s getting tired of the same taste. I treated it yesterday to watermelon juice. Good stuff!

Hello sir, I would like to join this group as well. My wife and I are going to start on the 8th (we need to purge our system of the bad foods first) I am going to do 30 she is going to do 7 then 14 if she can but not 30 she told me that much for sure.

I am currently doing some major house work right now and have been unsuccessfully trying to find the Juice only shopping list or even recipes for that matter. Can someone help me find the recipes specifically the Mean Green.

A little about me. I am 5’6” and 260. But people are shocked when I tell them that I weigh that much. When I joined the Navy in 2000 I was 189 pounds but only about 7-10% body fat. A lot of time in the weight room during my high school wrestling days. Oddly enough I never could get a deep cut six pack no matter how hard I tried.

I would like to lose 100 pounds in 1 year. This month is the first of 12.

I am debating to when start in July. I have been mostly juicing in June with the 18th group but I would like to totally juice only no eating for 3 days then do a 10 day with raw fruit/veggies for lunch then do what I have been doing which is vegan but juicing once for breakfast and dinner for 30 to 60 days. I have torticollis and it is recommended that I go gluten/casein free and lose weight/strenghen muscles. The juicing is to release as much toxins as possible. To do the 3 day juice i need to be home and this weekend is a workshop so that won’t work. Probably next weekend the 14th. I can start on Friday so that would work for me. Any takers, otherwise I will just move only with the group. I love the support here. It’s great.

Well, I bought the scale and did my first weigh-in today. I’m 35, 5’10″, and *deep breath* weigh 300.4lbs. Boy did that come as a surprise! While people have always been surprised when I tell them what I weigh because I seem to “wear it well”, that number is horrifying to me. I’m also going to be taking before and after photos to remind myself what I looked like when I started. Have just spent the past 30-45 minutes juicing for the day to take with me to work. Here’s to day 1 and never being this weight again!!

I'm blogging my juicing experience: http://boulderblather.blogspot.co.nz/

Greetings All, I am starting a 30 (60 hopefully) day reboot on July 6th. I have all the tools, but just need the will power. I am hoping to lose weight and fit back into my pre-baby clothing. I am 5’8 and weigh 237. My ideal weight is around 155-160. I plan to exercise in conjunction with the reboot. This is a lifestyle change for me.

Well, im back from the local farmers market.. and super stoked for tomorrow. To the person who commented on my use of the Wii, I’m not to worried about the exact starting weight the wii will track weight loss effectively enough. My main focus is not weight loss but overall well being and mindset of health. :)

Readyforachange… Be carful with your exercise while rebooting.. your energy level will be a lot different with your only intake being liquids and it could very well cause you harm. If I’m not mistaken , we are advised NOT to exercise while rebooting. I could be wrong of course.. I’be been known to be from time to time ;)

    Juice on !

Spunndaze, I’m the one who wrote about the Wii, I just know how inconsistent they are. Make sure you calibrate it often, it helps. :)
And you are correct about no strenuous exercising while fasting. Readyforachange, if you haven’t seen the movie yet I suggest you do. Your body burns calories and energy with everything you do, which includes just standing up, sitting down, every little movement burns something. A fast does not provide enough extra calories to burn off with exercising. The movie and the site both say that it is dangerous to do strenuous exercise on a juice only fast. In the movie the truck driver only walks and swims a bit each day, and does not start his running until he is back home and on solid foods. Also, you said pre-baby, I too have a baby, 8 months old, but I’m not sure of the age of yours. If you are still breast feeding you can not do the juice fast.

I know that this strand is getting longer by the day, so if those new members haven’t read the other pages I suggest you do. We are going to be together for the next 30-60 days and it’s a good idea to know who you’re talking with.
I am the creator of the group, and will check in every day. If I don’t know answers I will look them up, by I have already done a lot of reading and will pass on any info as it comes up.
I’d just like to welcome our newest members: Quirky_katie, MarioM, Readyforachange, camillecalli3, and araya06.

Greetings from Oregon. I’m starting tomorrow for the long haul of 60 days and would appreciate the support of a group like this. I completed a 12 day juice fast in April and felt great but I slipped back into my sugar addiction after only a few weeks. I feel like having a group to check in with will help me stay the course this time around.

I’m 50 years old, 5’8.5″ tall and weigh 265 lbs. And the juicer of choice this time around is an Omega 8003 Juicer.

    Best wishes to you all!

    Skye * Starting weight on July 4th: 261 lbs. ~ August 4th: 236
