In the Reboot Kitchen: Fenne-tastic Juice

Last week, I was so impressed with the fennel juice and how light and refreshing it was that I decided to do another fennel based juice this week. Fennel is great for the stomach and digestion and particularly high in calcium. Other health benefits of fennel are its ability to calm intestinal colic and spasms, and ease abdominal pain and discomfort. In herbal medicine it is used for nausea, diarrhea, flatulence, difficult lactation, period pain, bronchial coughs and IBS.

Enjoy this super simple and satisfying juice today!

Ingredients

  • 2 fennel bulbs
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 – 2 apples
  • 1 lime

Directions

  1. Wash all ingredients.
  2. Peel the lime (optional – I just give it a good scrub and juice with the skin).
  3. Chop the ingredients to fit through your juicer.
  4. Juice and enjoy!

Servings: 1

Serving Size: 16 - 18 oz (500 ml)

Substitutions

  • Fennel –celeriac root, celery, kohlrabi, jicama, daikon, apple
  • Celery – cucumber, Celeriac root, lettuce, zucchini, watercress, chard (silverbeet), spinach
  • Apple – pear, kiwi
  • Lime – lemon, grapefruit
