Hi
Just wanted to let you know that I was on the diet for 18 days. But then I read the article about losing hair and that saying on the Juice fact was not good for you. Do you lose your hair and what does it do to your body? I’m a type 2 diegetic and it was got for the 18 days I was on it. If you went for the full 60 days how do you get on to solid foods?
Hi Tony,
I watched a really good doco on curing type 2 diabetes, using a raw food plan (basically whole foods diet only nothing is cooked) that worked amazingly well. Its called “Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 days” and I watched it on topdocumentaryfilms.com
Might help.
Also I have noticed that when I Juice Fast I Lose LESS hair than normal so it might just be depending on how your body adapts to it on whether you lose, maintain or gain hair.
Because you are nourishing your cells with essential micro nutrients while on the juice fast (most likely more than you normally receive on your current diet), I would imagine that your hair (and nails) will be stronger and healthier post fast.
My husband and myself watch the fat sick and nearly dead program on Gem the other day and it inspired us to take it up. Went and brought a Juicer yesterday and started on a 10 day plan today. Will let you all know how it goes.
As a result of the airing of “Fat Sick and Nearly Dead”; starting reboot I have lost 5 kilos in my first 6 days. I know within myself I have decided that this is absolutely a lifestyle change. With 50 to 60 kilos total loss needed, it has to be. I can class myself as “Fatter, sicker and closer to death” is really where my start point was.
Which Breville Juicer is the best one to get – there are that many version of the Juicing Fountain available, 410, 500 – can anyone give me advice on the best model to buy. I do not mind investing a bit of money in my health, especially because my husband and I are starting the day after Christmas.
Fantastic doco, inspired me to start my reboot January .
