In the Reboot Kitchen: Easter Sunday Smoothie

Brighten up your Easter breakfast with this vibrant, nutrient rich smoothie!  It’s packed with light and fresh spring flavors and potent anti-inflammatory compounds, like bromelain from pineapple and omega-3s from chia seeds and hemp hearts.  The chia seeds and hemp hearts also lend extra protein to boost energy levels.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 g) pineapple
  • 1 apple
  • 1 large handful spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup (240 mL) coconut water
  • 1 scoop chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp (14 g) hemp hearts
  • 1-2 handfuls of ice

Directions

  1. Core pineapple and apple.
  2. Wash apple and spinach and peel banana.
  3. Place all ingredients in blender for 45 – 60 seconds.
  4. Liquefy and enjoy!
