Why I Rebooted: To lose weight and get healthier from being sedentary
After retiring as a classroom teacher, I switched to teaching Drivers Education. Sitting for hours every day in the car has not been kind to my health. I gained weight and my doctor put me on cholesterol drugs.
Trying to keep up to my 30-year-old on a road bike wasn’t even an option anymore!
I could see where I was heading, especially after seeing Joe’s film, “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.”
I decided to get serious about getting healthy NOW!
Down 30 pounds in 30 days

I have normal blood pressure, well rested, clearer thinking.
I have noticed my mind is much clearer. I sleep a lot better and longer, and I no longer snore.* My wife likes this, too, because I’m no longer keeping her awake and tired.
I also have a different view of veggies, once thought of as a side dish. They are my mainstay now.
My blood pressure is also down in the normal range. Daily headaches have gone.* I’m looking forward to seeing my cholesterol numbers on my next visit to the doctor.

My biggest shift was in my thinking
When my coach, Isabel, described how emotional eating could have played a part in weight gain, a light came on. I’ve always had the munchies. Now I have a plan to deal with it.
I have found many ideas for healthy snacking in the Reboot site and online. I found a local supplier of organic produce and meat, too. My new mantra is simply Low Carbs and No Sugar!
I am joining my local road bike races with my son this spring to become motivated to continue to keep in shape.
What I wish someone told me so I’d start my Guided Reboot sooner
