A Tropical Twist on Your Green Smoothie

For many of us, the famous “green smoothie” can be intimidating and more hopeful than a lifestyle reality. One of the best and easiest ways to incorporate a green smoothie into your daily protocol is to make it taste great. I know that seems simple but in order to do it daily and to even get your kids to enjoy it, it is going to need to be delicious and appealing.

Luckily, we have the answer for you…

I give my wife the credit for this smoothie because she is the one with the really good skills for making flavors work. The sweetness of the banana and pineapple hide the greens and the bitter of the lemon is great way of making it not overly sweet. You can substitute any greens you wish like kale (Tuscan cabbage) or chard (silverbeet) if you wish but I like the romaine (cos) because it adds extra water for hydration and liquid.

I know it can be a struggle to get enough greens in your and your kids’ daily meals, but adding fruits and veggies into making healthy smoothies is a great way to appeal to your taste and health. If you and your kids drink this often enough, you’ll both be asking for it more often. Enjoy and here is to your health!
