6 Green Soups Perfect for Fall

When the weather is warm, a typical lunch is usually a green smoothie (like my favorite like this Get Your Greens Smoothie), a green acai bowl or a green salad with fresh raw vegetables. But as soon as I start to feel the crisp fall air, my lunch cravings quickly change to something warm. And that’s when soup comes into the picture. I’ve had it every day this week! Since I still want to get my fill of greens, I look for green soups. They may not look the most appetizing but they are so hearty and delicious. Here are my favorite green soup recipes you’ll love too.

A Nutritious Chlorophyll-Rich Green Soup

This is a very thick but nourishing and light soup that combines so many nutrient-dense greens.

Coconut-Cauliflower Puree

This soup is anti-inflammatory, heart healthy and has lots of vitamins and nutrients especially vitamins B and K as well as Omega 3’s.

Avocado Cream of Mushroom Soup

Don’t judge a book by its cover! If this doesn’t look too good to you, don’t say no yet. Give it a try because this is one of the best soups I’ve had yet.

Spinach & Fennel Split Pea Soup

I love this recipe not only because it is delicious, but the addition of the spinach takes a bland split pea soup and turns it into a bowl of gorgeous green.

Green Detox Soup

This soup is high in iron, calcium, potassium, vitamin K, folic acid, beta-carotene and other powerful phytonutrients that may help reduce some types of cancer such as the incidence of breast, colon and lung cancer.

Spinach Lemon & Mint Lentil Soup

Wondering what to do with all that leftover pulp from your juice?  This spin on a classic Lebanese dish uses pulp from your favorite green juice for extra flavor and fiber.
